To be able to use a modified file in the Simatic Manager, the following applies:

a) The file must have a different release date in the file name.

b) If necessary, you have to force the Simatic Manager to use the modified file by placing a hash in front of the “HILSCHER” in the file name. Then again you have to be careful when selecting the GSDML file to always click on the correct file version.

The modified GSDML file must also be made known to SYCON. This can be done by copying it here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Hilscher GmbH\SYCONnet\PNIODeviceDTM\GSDML
