To be able to use a modified file in the Simatic Manager, the following applies:

a) The file must have a different release date in the file name.

b) If necessary, you have to force the Simatic Manager to use the modified file by placing a hash in front of the "HILSCHER" in the file name. Then again you have to be careful when selecting the GSDML file to always click on the correct file version.

The modified GSDML file must also be made known to SYCON. This can be done by copying it here:

c) Main change in the Hilscher GSDML files 64byteoutput --> 128byteoutput; check areas around those points, too for "64"

d) When programming with Sycon NET:
- Begin with a new (empty) project
- Add from the standalone slaves the target device to the horizontal grey line
- Click on "configuration" on the new device
- Configure TCP on Settings/Driver/NetXDriver
- Enable in Settings/Driver the NetXDriver
- Check card in device assignment
